Flying over the Himeji sky, the heron catches the Daimio's attention as he oversees his servants from the top of the castle. Gardeners meticulously tend to the pond where koi carp reside, warriors vigilantly stand guard on the walls, and courtiers eagerly await an audience that could elevate their status within the court. As night falls, lanterns are lit and the workers return to their respective clans.

The White Castle places players in control of these clans, each vying to outscore the others. To achieve victory, they must accumulate influence within the court, manage resources with precision, and strategically deploy their workers.

Set within Japan's formidable Himeji Castle, the game features the Sakai clan, under the leadership of Daimio Sakai Tadakiyo, as the central focus.

The White Castle is a Eurogame that challenges players to utilize resource management, worker placement, and dice placement to execute their actions. The game unfolds over three rounds, during which players dispatch clan members to tend to the gardens, defend the castle, or ascend the ranks of nobility. Points are awarded in various ways at the conclusion of the match.

The game accommodates 1-4 players, ages 12 and up, and offers a playing time of approximately 80 minutes.
